Evička bought her first own dog in April: a female of Braque d´Auvergne named Jazz od Smutné říčky (breeder Slavomír Hanáček). We call her Packa, she was so cute :-)

In June Dita celebrated her 10th birthday. We have celebrated it with big joy, as it was exactly after one year, when she got over troubles with her cervical spine - within one year of treatment with "Teufelskralle", a traditional medicine from South Africa, that was recomended to us by our austrian friend Eva-Maria Kralicek, our Dita became younger than before, full of joy and life. We were very happy and enjoy every new day with her, a lively senior dog. She got birthday-cake - you can see how the cake is prepared by clicking on: ZDE

In July we have organized our traditional private party called "Hory Doly", it is meeting with our Basset friends in our home. Beautifull Basset-cake brought our friend Věra. It was made by her dagther Lada. Borek Filipec made a poet as a celebration of this nice event (free translation):

On occassion of a visit from Denmark-Anne-Therese and René - we have invited owners of puppies form W litter. They are just one and half year old. Wannabe and her master lady Elisabeth could not come, so the mumm Victoria, uncle Velvet and granny Judita have met Mr.Winston of Mrs.Dittrtová and Wadanya of our dannish friends. There were twoo more guests here: Bassets of our dannish friends, dark male "Bay Biscuit Its So Floppy" called "Pampas", import from Argentina, and bicolor female "Skindeeps Jedburg Alba", import from Norway, a granddaugther of Atilla.

In August we have brought one new member of our Basset family: dark female puppy Zofia Queen´s Hermelín, bred by V.Křížová in Brno. Parents are ICH Leicester v.Hollandheim and ICH Chipsi Queen´s Hermelín.

Victoria got next CACIB on internat.show in Tulln, Austria, from judge K.Reisinger. By this win she was qualified for famous english show Crutfs.
On another show, a Basset club show in Austria, that was organiezd in Burg Lockenhaus, we have showed our 3 littlemates from litter V. Timur Bohemia Horrido owned by fam.Hellenschuss, was here, too. I highly appreciated the wise opinion of the english judge Mr.Gillanders about Basset Hound. From our group he highly awarded Velvet, who won under him champion class. Being also members of the club, Velvet have won the title "Club Winner". It was for second time, after 2005. By this way the Challenge cup „Otto Ehrenpreiss“ appeared again in our home – to spend here a year till next clubshow in Austria. We have got the cup from last-year winner, Timur. By this way, the cup stays within a family, and we hope it stays so :-).

In November Jazz started her show carrier: on the first dog show in Nitra, Slowakia, she won her class, and after that she competed - and won "The Best Puppy" of the show! On another 4 shows in Croatia and Austria, she won her first titles Best Of Breed (BOB). At thze end of the year she have had allready 4x BOB and four certificates for national junior championships of Croatia and Austria.

On ocassion of 15 years of our kennel we have published our own post card. It is a small serie, supported by Club of collectors www.mastna.com (home page of outstanding artist - dog and animal portraits, Mrs.Marta Mastná). The design was by our son Jan/Honza. On the post card you can see: above from left Viking, Victoria, Velvet, row in the middle: Velvet, picture of Atilla (logo of our kennel), Judita. Below are our last puppies from litter W in 2005: Wannabe, Wadanya a Winston. On the background there is our beloved place - old quarry in forests near castle Lipnice nad Sázavou.
